Welcome to Voices That Build.
Every community has people trying to make things better.
Some are running nonprofits. Some are coaching kids after work. Some are helping families find resources. Some are creating programs, raising money, opening doors, or simply showing up when someone needs support.
A lot of that work happens quietly.
Voices That Build was created to make more room for those conversations.
This podcast is a new part of The Brickers Foundation, and Season 1 is focused on introducing who we are, what we care about, and why this work matters. Before we bring in more outside voices, we want people to understand the foundation behind the microphone.
The Brickers Foundation is centered on support, access, visibility, and opportunity. That can show up in different ways – through youth programs, financial literacy, career support, small business resources, health and wellness, sports, technology, music, film, and more.
Those areas may sound different on paper, but in real life they often connect.
A young person who wants to play sports may need equipment, transportation, mentorship, and someone who believes in them. A parent trying to build stability may need career support, financial education, wellness resources, or a small business opportunity. A local nonprofit doing important work may need visibility so the right people can find them, support them, and help them grow.
That is the bigger picture.
The Brickers Foundation exists because people should not have to struggle alone to find support, resources, or opportunity. Communities are stronger when people know what is available, when good work is easier to find, and when more people are invited into the process of helping.
This podcast gives us a space to talk about that.
Season 1 will walk you through the foundation’s mission, the meaning behind the world "build," the initiatives we care about, the people involved, and the kind of impact we hope to create over time.
It’s also a place for honesty. Community work is not always simple. There are gaps, barriers, overlooked needs, and a lot of people doing their best with limited support. We want to talk about those realities while also focusing on what can be done.
Because building doesn’t always start with something huge.
Sometimes it starts with a conversation.
A connection.
A shared resource.
A person deciding to care enough to get involved.
That is what Voices That Build is here for.
To share the mission.
To open the conversation.
To highlight what matters.
To remind people that support can start closer than they think.
Welcome to Voices That Build.
