Where We Won Big: The Las Vegas Leadership Conference
Instead of hitting the slots, we spent our time building future leaders.
When you hear the word leadership, what comes to mind? Ericson Brickers, Founder and CEO of The Bricker’s Foundation, leads a great organization that supports our current initiatives and future goals. The main mission of TBF is, “We amplify nonprofits by connecting them with the visibility and support they need to grow and make a real impact.” This truly speaks volumes and causes inspiration for future leaders in our communities.
The message Ericson shared at the American Project & Portfolio Leadership Conference is, “How the Brickers Foundation utilizes technology to kick off our projects. We are a non-profit that does amazing work for non-profits and different communities.” He also shared, “We understand these non-profits through our internal research, and the amazing things they do, and then we help them highlight and amplify the amazing work. Our 160 members all over the map help make it possible.” This shows that no community is too far for the Brickers Foundation and Ericson’s reach.
Ericson gave a great example of how leadership stepped in regarding a slack inexperience issue. The solution was simple and was only possible with true leadership and delegation. The Brickers Foundation created a “Slack how-to” tutorial with full support. Talk about creating resources for your team, especially in the technology realm. This creates a great initiative for those to gain skills.
One of the core values is that leadership isn’t just about leading people, it’s about teaching others how to be leaders. Ericson and the Brickers Foundations started with these virtues in mind and have worked seamlessly throughout our current communities to bring change and impact into this world.
